However, the nature funding gap cannot be closed by government and philanthropy alone, so crowding-in more capital from a wider range of investors is critical. The Hub plays a vital role in catalyzing the social trust, partnerships, policy signals and business case needed to increase the availability of finance for nature, with an emphasis on private capital.
As a neutral convenor, our value add is bringing together all voices – governments, industry, Indigenous people, NGOs and investors for collective impact that will close the nature finance gap in Canada by 2030.
